Passage from Chapter 17: The Pact of the Eternal

"The Undeath passed His blackened hand over the bodies of the fallen and they arose to battle at the side of Wraithmeen, His Chosen. The Arisen were thrown down and bones smashed to dust, but they arose again and again to defend the Master's demon. Wraithmeen's curved blades and gouts of flame enveloped the elven warriors but they fought on undaunted. Though twisted forms of man and beast, the Arisen fought as demons, slaying the Holy Knights of Ylvanus with abandon.   As the night enveloped the land the Arisen and their master had claimed the lives of every knight.
The cursed fallen once again stood in ranks with a burning glow eminating from thier
empty eyesockets. They have followed Wraithmeen even unto this day, as he commands
the Soul Reavers of the Abyss."

From "Seeds of Death's Mastery"

"The makings a powerful necromantic wizard or unholy necrolic are in each of the living. To succeed where many fail, a soul must forget it's own existence and focus on influence over death. Only in that way can one find true power, for there is no power over another until you have power over yourself."

- DeadGuard "The Lich-Dragon"

Commentary:

For you to become a leader among your peers, and to survive the trials of necromancy, your own death must be a foregone conclusion. Your only question should be: "How much control will I have over it?" Until you have achieved lichdom or accepted the Final Pact and become one of The Master's demons, your death is assured. Only your soul keeps you from your goal of eternity.

Death is but a journey... See that you are not left behind, nor leave unprepared.
